Mthente undertook a project on behalf of Draftfcb Social Marketing. The aim of the project was to undertake qualitative and quantitative research to inform the development of a communication strategy and project that will communicate nutrition information on the role of sugar in a balanced diet and healthy lifestyle directly to the public.

The study was conducted on a national level and the main aspects thereof looked at Existing Platforms for Communicating Science-Based Information on the Role of Sugar in Nutrition and Health in South Africa as well as Perceptions and beliefs on the health and nutrition effects of consuming sugar
