Safety and Violence Initiative, University of Cape Town: Tracking Study on Youth Violence Reduction in Gugulethu and Manenberg: The Amandla Edu-Football Safe-Hub Model

Amandla Edu-Football, through its partnership with the Safety and Violence Initiative at the University of Cape Town (SaVI-UCT) and the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC), commissioned a baseline survey for the youth violence prevention study at Amandla’s ‘Safety-Hub’ facility, located in the violence-prone communities of Gugulethu and Manenberg. The research study was commissioned in order to develop a baseline that would be used to monitor and track the progress of the Safety-Hub facility’s youth development interventions over a 10-year period.
